in the Convocation, 34 Doctoral Degrees (Ph.D) were conferred of which 16 were in Faculty of Medicine, 13 in Faculty of Dentistry, 2 in Faculty of Nursing Sciences and Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences each and one in the Faculty of Ayurvedic Sciences. r academic distinctions 94 awards were also conferred which included 78 Gold medals, 03 silver medals and 13 prizes and Chancellor% medals. Dr. Karishma Makhija received a highest numberof 15 medalswhich included 10Gold medalsforherexcellent performance at Final MBBS examination and thereby became highest rnedal recipient in 8th Convocation, closely followed by Dr. Snehil Goswami who bagged 7 Gold medals. Other prominent medal winners were Dr. iuhi Gupta 04 Gold medals, Dr. Anuja Alok Raniwala 04 Gold medals and Dr.Roma Dhande 03 Gold medals.
A total number of 642 recipients were conferred various degrees under various faculties of health sciences including 300 in the Faculty of Medicine, 149 in the Faculty of Dentistry, 59 in the Faculty of Ayurvedic Sciences, 113 in the Faculty of Nursing and 19 in the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences.
